Triumph TR7 & TR8 Scale Models

by Eric Teunissen, NL

Hi, this section of the WWWedge is devoted to TR7 & TR8 scale models. Being a dedicated Triumph model collector I was looking for ways to get in contact with fellow collectors to swap models and leads to find certain models. I have decided to set up a website called the Triumph Scale Model Collectors site. On this site you can find news about new models, pictures, model related links etc. This covers the whole range of Triumph models. Johan Vorsterman van Oijen has asked me to fill a section on the WWWedge specific on TR7 & TR8 models. I will make sure that the info provided carries plenty of pictures of the models. Hope you enjoy these pages and in case there are any questions/remarks please drop me an email (Eric Teunissen).

Nearly all TR7/8 models are obsolete; only a few manufacturers still produce (very) expensive white metal kits. Models have to be found via toy/modelcar swapmeets and occasionally in a toystore (mostly plastic model kits). A great number of TR7/8 models have been produced in all scales varying from 1:2,3 (pedalcar) to 1:92 (one piece pewter model). The materials used include diecast, white metal, tinplate, plastic, resin, polyester/fibreglass and even ..... cardboard. Most come ready made but there are also a number of plastic model kits by Revell, Monogram, Airfix and Bandai. Amongst the models you will find the normal TR7/8 versions but also rally versions (several slotcars) and more futuristic versions (TR Terrific).Based on the material used, several pages have been set up with info (manufacturer, id, scale etc.) on the model and if available it also includes a picture.
A special thanks goes to Erik Opdencamp from Belgium for his input!
