Here are some pictures of a 1975 TR7 that I parted out this summer. It was built in January 1975 and must have been one of the first off. The Vin number is ACL924U and, although you would think that it should have been built after my race car ACL512U (April 25 1975), it was built three months earlier. The car was junk when I picked it up. It had no floors, nose piece and the sills were horrible, no engine or transmission...no chance to save this one.
When taking it apart I documented some of the truly unique early pieces that I had never seen before. First, a picture as pulled from the barn and loaded on the dolly...note it didn't have a steering rack so no tie rods! Next a picture of the glove box sticker with "Bullet" written on it. Also the knob to open the glove box is different. Now notice the prop for the hood, the standard telescoping one probably was added later. Finally, look at the dash pads, I've never seen a set like this with the little edges at the front (shown with a set of standard ones for comparison). - Paul MacDonald
