He should sell it.  If he doesn't sell it, then he should race it.  :)

Really, when is the last time you saw a door fly open in an autox?  If
he's worried about it, auxiliary lap belt harnesses are available, and
the car probably still has a bolt hole in the frame rail for a
seatbelt anchor from previous years.
