Just checked my brown 99 shop manual and there is absolutely no reference to
a shave limit. The 94-97 shop manual says .004" and the 90-93 1.6 shop
manual says .008" (odd since they have the same 134mm head height and they
are basically the same design head).
I do know that there are 3 or 4 shop manual suppliments that I don't have so
I recommend going to the dealer and asking to see theirs.
