I got ahold of one of my fellow parts guys at work, and also an independent mechanic. Sounds like the brake reservoir may also be used for the clutch. I pushed the clutch pedal and the resistance is normal. I think the disc has come apart and jammed between the pressure plate and/or flywheel, and my neighbor needs a clutch. Bummer. Probably $1500-2000 at SF Bay Area prices... CHD |
