Not everyone has a choice to run in an ST class.  There are a lot of  Stock 
cars not included.
 
Even if you have an eligible car for ST, you have to do $2-3000 minimum to  
bring your Stock Category car up to competitive trim.  Not a problem for  those 
of us in STS, most of us started with $2000 cars.  But I think most  Stock 
Category people don't really think ST is a great option.  It's part  of why 
they're in Stock.
