Not to wish any bad luck on you, but if you need a divorce lawyer, hopefully
it's a pre-existing problem. One smooth ride an a Bricklin should convince
your significant that it's worth the money and effort. :)

Welcome to the list. There are Bricks availble, my looking around indicates
usually around the $5-20k range for a runner, 2-7k for a restorer. (7k=one
partially done, w/parts to finish and the owner's wife is divorcing him....)
Stay away from E-bay. They are usually overpriced, IMO.

Mine is costing me $5k, I think it's worth 10k after some interior work and
a good buffing out of the color coat. They are uncomfortable for persons of
my size (6'-6") and I'm replacing my stock seats with some out of a Triumph
GT6. Low to the floor, and I'm modifying the seat to fit the car, not the
other way around.

My center console is custom, has an ashtray and lighter, because while it
may be dangerous to smoke, it's more dangerous to try and light a cigarette
at 70 with a lighter with the AC on, or to flick said cig. out the window in
a forest.

You'll find that most Bricks have been fitted with air-doors. This is a
good thing, as the hydraulic setup took 19seconds from closed to full open.
Imagine getting in during a rain storm.

My own brick's problems lie in the area of air leaks, a sticky solenoid on
the driver's side door, the driver's side door does not open fully (due to
the gas-strut helper installed to help the ram open the door) and generally
sloppy dash board. Oh yeah, a rear tire that goes flat, leak in the rim
someplace.

All Bricklins leak. Sad but true. I've not yet heard of anyone that has a
leak-free Brick, so plan on parking it inside and not driving in the wet.
(Note: if anyone has a leak-free brick, please tell me nicely, no flames.)

Personally, I've not done much to my car yet, but in reality, there's not
much to do. Hopefully you'll find one like that, and have it roadable in a
reasonable amount of time.

Jeff
