As far as your lug nuts coming loose, might want to clean them and the wheel
and avoid using any oil on them. Are the wheel holes oval or worn. The lug
nuts are a close tolerance to the wheel
The carb if a vac secondary might need a new diaphragm or a different
spring, or if it is mechanical (dp) it may need adjustment.
$.02 but probably worth $.03
