The Bricklin vendors sell a rubber boot that keeps air from coming up around
the emergency brake handle. Seal up any openings in the firewall. Silicone
caulk works well for small openings and plumbers putty for larger ones. Putting
insulation under the carpet helps keep heat from coming up through the floor.
Putting header insulation wrap on the exhaust pipes helps keep them from
radiating heat through the floor.
