Might I suggest,
        If you're gonna relocate the battery, to put a big (200 amp) fusible
link at the battery?  If something shorts, this can save your battery,
wires, and keep the trunk cleaner!  Ever see a battery explode from
shorting?  It's cool, but not something you'd necessarily want in the
back of your Datsun, with your fuel tank...
        Electric vehicle types stock 'em, (http://www.EVParts.com/index.htm,
http://www.electroauto.com/ and others) and they're not too expensive-
$20 to $40- considering that, if you're careful, you should never need
to replace it...
