$700 for timing chains? I'm glad I have a 1600!!!!! Yeah, I could use
more power of course, and as soon as I rob a bank I will stroke a 1600
and get some head work done.

You can do it whenever you have the engine apart. It's a little easier
to guide
it back in if the crankshaft is out, but you can still do it.

Yes, it has to go to the machine shop.
