Howdy from the guy who had the extra button to push while starting his car.
For those who were intrested about my mystery button under the dash, it had
wires running to the coil, back to the switch, to the brake light switch,
then to some hot source. After spending a good 2 hours under my dash (seat
removed, only three nuts holding it down) I found approx 10 cut wires, 10
bare splices, misc HOT wires dangling, zip ties, and enough electrical tape
to create a whole new vinyl top for the car. Needless to say, I need a new
harness, there is no point in attempting to clean up this mess. Lucky for
me, my parts car has a seemingly unmolested harness (all three sections).
Any hints before I undertake this little project this weekend? Do I remove
the dash entirely to install the new ones? (high windshield)

Strange thing is, even with all these terrible "fixes" under the dash,
everything works, even the dash dimmer and the clock.
Here is a link on SU tech that many of you may have seen, but it helped me
get my engine to purr with some minor tweaks.

a list member, if it was, thank you.
