When I first read that egg thing, I was thinking that 66 Mike was
being a wise guy.  I thought he was planning on frying the egg on
the over-heating radiator or something like that.

When I had a leak one year coming back from the Glen an older guy told me to
use an egg to seal the leak. Cracked it over the water inlet and let the
waterpump do the rest. Ran for a few minutes with rad cap tight to build
pressure then loosen it so there is no pressure. By golly it worked!!!!!!!!

Got me home many hours later, but after it sat for awhile it lost all
coolant again.
