Well, the brakes are leaking badly, and I have no idea why, but I cleared a
path and said to my wife, "Get in. We're going for a ride."
Pam asked "Is it safe?"
I replied "You wouldn't have married me if you knew the answer to that
question".
She hopped in without hesitation and we went for a very short spin up and
down the driveway, relying on the e-brake to slow us down.
It worked! She really wanted to go (so did I), but reality seeped in and we
let her rest on a spot in the driveway that didn't have fresh drippings to
check for leaks.
2001 is all downhill from here.
