Jay, I will soon find out, having just done the same
thing.  Mine is a 66 which does have 7/16 lugs (I
think your 69 may have metric, but you need to verify
this)  In my case, I salvaged the metric lugs from the
Z with the pressed on washers (thru the wheel type). 
I pried off the washers which are same diameter as the
lug holes, and bought a set of 7/16 thru the wheel lug
nuts using both the washer that came from the Z lug
and the ones from my new lugs, thereby using the
existing 7/16 studs.  everything seems to fit nicely
with no slop, so I am hopeful, but I have not tested
them yet because I am in the middle of a windshield
installation.  If this does not work, I will go back
to the Z lugs and change the studs, but I think this
is going to work fine.  I'll let you know...
