Talked with Millard Davis again about his 4.3 conv. (actually went and
paid for a box of parts he gave me at our first meeting)
His engine is 1989, using a fuel injected model would require hooking
up a computer so if you want to avoid that scene get the older
engines. His v6/hydramatic combination was within 40-60 lbs of the
weight of the original engine/trans. So the front springs were not
changed and he did measure the vehicle fender heights which had no
noticable change. With the battery moving to the trunk, it probably
became a very neutral change.
