Where are my nuts?

  Now that I have your attention, I'm trying to figure out where the
manifold nuts fall and get stuck on a 1600?  the top row came off easy and
the front two bottom ones were fairly simple, but two of the back three
bottom nuts just kind of fell, and never hit the ground?  I'm only pulling
the head, not the whole block so I can't turn it upside-down and shake.  Do
they normally get stuck in the header, behind the starter, some frame
pocket, ....?
