Regulator/Compensator for Temp. Gauge

The 1967 that I bought apparently has a problem with the
regulator/compensator of some sort on the temp gauge.  I was told by the PO
that there was a circuit for one on the internet, but haven't been able to
find it.  It's supposed to fix the problem he was experiencing with the temp
reading off when the weather outside is hot or very cold.
