all right, I admit I was sleeping during the discussion about the little
hoses under the SU carbs.  Interesting, but not for me.  That was until
yesterday when I removed the air cleaner backing plate in an effort to
get better access to the starter.  That was when I saw that one hose is
cracked in about 8 places and the other will be if I move it.

I don't know how to access the archives or I would not be asking, but
was there a final answer about a source for this type of tubing?  I know
there were some nice modern material hoses discussed, but I don't
remember if one was determined to withstand the fuel and heat in this
application.

I did succeed in getting my starter to run and cleaning up the solenoid
so it makes good electrical contact.  Now to figure out how to get that
starter back through that hole.  15 minutes out and ????? back in.
