For all:
Some might remember a few months ago after I completed
suspension mods:
Falken Azinis 195X14s on 240Z 4 spoke Libras 14X5.5
with front springs collapsed and welded one coil
shorter
Snubbers cut in half, comp sway bar.
Front fender lips hammered up tight, rear
fender lips mostly cut off. (cant hammer
fiberglass)

I since let everyone know that the right front
rubbed at the outside edge during close to
full lock. This situation more or less resolved
itself after some nominal shaving took place, but
I have since fixed it all the way:

I bought a 6$ rubber spring seat from advance auto,
and had a neighbor cut it in half (slice of
lunchmeat style) so it was 1/2 inch tall, and
installed it under right front spring.
(used a big wood cutting band saw)

I finally got around to measuring the height,
from ground to highest point of
wheel well lip. Its 24 inches on
driver side, and just a hair higher on passanger
side. (used to be about 23.5 passanger side)
After some spirited real world testing, I
can report that the problem is fixed!

So...if your playing with wheels and springs,
24 inches is a good baseline to use for the
street. 24 inches allows enough suspension
travel for some small amount of compliance on
the street as well.
I think you can go a little lower with
wheels with proper roadster offset, but
remember the ride quality.

Why was one car .5 inches taller than the
other when the frame is straight and
the springs were the same height.....
I dont know, probably has something to
be done with car being 35 years old,
its old enough to have developed some
individuality........

Best Regards,
Jim
