For cars used infrequently Silicone is great. While it is slighly harder to
bleed, in the last few years the formulation has changed and the air
bubble/soft pedal dilemma has been resolved for the most part.

The swell characteristics between DOT 4 and 5 are slighly different which
can cause borderline seals to start leaking. If your brake system is good to
begin with the leaking problem shouldn't be an issue.

I've been using it for 20 years in new and old cars and never had a problem.
