If you can get both of the ends off and open, and not ignite the gas with 
sparks from the drill, then the line can stay on.  But you have to have access 
to both ends to clean it out, and be sure to blow the line (there's a thought) 
before you hook it back up.

Can I do this with the line still attached to the car or do I have to remove

speed drill
$and ease it through.  Works like a variable speed roto rooter.
