An H20 starter, or a 1600 starter will work... for a while. The 2000
starter is a bit shorter in an attempt to reduce the amount of heat the
starter picks up from the exhaust manifold. I know there are shorter geared
starters available that have been mentioned on the list, and the people
using them seem to like them.

Someone orrect me if I am wrong, but doesn't an H20 forklift starter work?
I think that's what I have.

Anyone know where to pickup a 2000 starter motor....new or rebuilt. Went to
start the car and it smoked, all of the wires are OK.
