Joe,

I don't know where you live, but somewhere reasonably close there should be 
a good trim shop.  (Marine shops sometimes do convertible tops, but list 
themselves in the "Marine" category.)  The can replace the plastic.  Some 
will replace the sewn-in window with a zip-in window.
