There is/was a date code stamped on the back of the tach and speedo 
that indicates when they were made.  Early half year tach and speedo 
had a shiny center hub and later ones had a flat black center hub.

Half year speedo's had engraved numbers in the odometer wheels and 
earlier year models didn't.

You can check the instruments if you want to go to the trouble.
