Gary;
     if the late cars are like the early ones, you will need to reach behind
the dash (tiny hands and extra joints help here) and unscrew the two small
wing nuts over the strap that bridges the back of the gauge.  Disconnect the
sender lead and dash light lead and the gauge will come out to the front.  It
is a challenge to reassemble!
