Steve,

A picture or a link would help understand what you are talking about. 
But, if it is like the kit Pat and Patti described, then it also includes a
jig for centering the nozzle carrier with respect to the needles.  You
inistall the jig onto the bottom of the piston(s), and then loosen the nozzle
carrier to allow it to slide over the wide part of the jig.  Eliminates needle
interference with the nozzles.

It is intended for balancing multiple SU and,
I think, Stromberg carbs.  Mine has three rods so one can work on triple carb
set-ups like the old in-line six-cylinder Jags.  Never used it that way,
though.  Always use my Uni-Syn.

number 885094 that is made in "West
Germany". Is anyone familiar with this
tool and if so, does it work?
