I have only used Lowes foam brushes... some (Harbor Freight) kind of
dissolved, got real soft...

A question about what brushes people recommend....

I have tried to use the elcheapo disposable ones only to fight having to
pick the hairs off the surface that fall off the brush because of the
cheapness of the brush.

What is the issue when using the foam brushes? I have thought about using
them so as to not have to pick put loose brush hairs

Thanks

Having done 3 vehicles with POR, here are my bits and pieces:

DO wear a painter's mask with organic vapor cartridges, the fumes EVEN IN AN

OPEN AIR SITUATION.... CAN BE UNHEALTHY. You've been warned.

DO keep a rag that has been moistened with Lacquer Thinner (NOT Mineral
Spirits) handy, that way the unexpected smear on body parts can be cleaned
off.

DO use the Saran Wrap, but use TWO layers. A single layer usually gets
shredded and you have bits and pieces floating in the POR. Don't know about

the refrigerator trick, as it DOES smell nasty enough that SWMBO would
firmly nix it's being brought into the house's living space, but I would be
more concerned with the humidity. If the ambient humidity is high, you'll
probably watch as the POR will literally boil itself into a FOAM, this is
totally undesireable so if it's raining or threatening to rain... don't
paint with POR, you'll be wasting your time and money.

DO use disposable brushes but NOT the foam ones. Don't bother cleaning them

up afterwards either, the cost in Lacquer Thinner will exceed the cost of
the brush AND the brush will simply NOT be soft the next day.

These are the ones right off the top of my head, I'll post more as I
remember them.
