Hi Roger in Texas,
Triumph Tune used to have Close Ratio gears available. Triumph
Tune/Moss, etc. continue to list these gears but the supply seems to
have dried up.
Last winter, one of the FOT did some rather extensive work in trying to
stimulate a domestic supply and another FOT lister was in communication
with Triumph Tune.
The potential domestic supplier claimed to have developed a quote and
secured the tooling but didnt follow through with a hard copy of the
quote. This could be a viable project but the cost would be in the
neigborhood of $1500 a set and encompasses some risk.
I have no recent status on TT.
Outside of that, I do have some pieces out of Triumph Tune Close Ratio
gear set for TR4/6 trannies and they are available for sale as spares.
If you have some information on Close Ratio gearboxes for Triumphs, I am
sure there are those who like to hear about it.
