Wow that is a lot of clearance. I installed a Quaiffe and had a similar
problem - I could get proper end float on one side but had about .015 on
the other. This happened no matter what axles I used. Someone else I
talke with recommended shimming between the bearing and the shoulder so
that may be something to consider.
