If Mark is correct, and you have a TR6 head (especially the later one), I
can personally testify to the fact you can take a full 1/4" off it.
Wouldn't recommend it though...In fact I have one on my shelf that I keep
as a reminder of what happens when I get too extreme...

Went like stink tho. The one on the car now isn't nearly as radical...
