Joe,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I will always appreciate and remember that you
were the person that got me interested in vintage cars, vintage racing, and
first found the prime piece of art (raw material) that I have had to work
with.

Amici Triumphi

Thanks,
Gary

Gary, Congratulations!!!

Someone, please forward Gary's preferred address to Mark Bradakis for
inclusion in the FOT. I dont have it. He already has a decal and a patch.
His helmet will be suitably regaled with the logo that is becoming fairly
well known in North America.

I understand the inaugural appearance of Gary and the red beauty will be at
Gingerman.

Amici Triumphi, please welcome John Deere's Gary Wiezorek. Gary will be the
"Gatekeeper" of our future John Deere bonuses, as all of the rest of us JD
types are retiring.

Joe

Subject: weekend

Sunday morning we went to church and so forth and I hit the garage at
11:00. Gary and Carol rolled in at about 12:00 and Tony came over at
1:00 or so.

I prepped and rebuilt two SU's, Gary worked all day on a miriad of
tasks, and Tony, God Bless Him, worked on 'ol blue and got it almost
ready to race next weekend (come on, sun!)

At about 6:00 in the evening we hit the starter button, and after
chasing a few bugs, we heard the BIG NOISE. Wow. It's still a thrill,
after all these years. When it ceases to thrill me, I'm going to quit
this foolishness.

I fell into the chair at 7:30 and watched "Forest Buhler's Day Off" with
Frances, who then tucked me in bed, unable to move a muscle from sweet
exhaustion. Three motorhead guys working on a new car all day and we got
to start it up, too. It doesn't get much better than this.

We'll release the car to Gary probably next Friday. It's a beautiful,
clean, straight, unmolested but finely prepared car. It's going to be a
thrill to have Gary racing with us!
