 I'm stating to like Quaifes less and less. If you get a wheel really
unweighted it will spin and lose drive. Lockers won't, and neither will
clutch-type locking diffs. I'm investigating a clutch diff for Peyote to
cut the spin on extreme corners.

Lockers will take any kind of rear gear, as far as I can see. I've had
both of my available ratios on mine (I think it's 3.7 and 4.11 but I'm not
sure).

    I have been advised by several FOTers that company which made the
detroit 
lockers are in business, but that the compnay staff will not provide an 
technical support. It may therefore be in our mutual interests -
although 
Quaifes appear to be the preferred lsd at this time - to compile this 
specifications on these units.

    I have also been previously advised that the detroit lockers were 
designed to accommodate specific rear gears. Is this true ?
