I'd suggest replacing both ends, so that the rear braking power is increased
as well as the front.  I should know these numbers, but the Spit rear drums
are something like 7.5" in diameter, while the GT6 are about 8" - I may be
off half an inch or so either way on these diameters.  Of course, if your Spit
has too much rear brake bias, then just upgrading the fronts may work for you.
