Mine is on my sway bar pillow block mount. Drilled 4 holes and use 2 
plastic wire ties to attach to the bracket. Works fine.

I remember a problem last year with Jeff Snook's Lotus 11. The 
transponder must have a very large area under it of clear space. Terry 
tried mounting it over a 3 inch round hole in the aluminum skin... No 
joy. Had to relocate the transponder for T and S to get any times.
