British Pacific can concur that there are bad rotors out there. We've run
into it several times with V8 Rovers. The problems began with Lucas selling
out to Marelli, who in turn sold the line to Denso. Lucas actually stopped
making V8 rotors, despite the fact that they were used up until 1999 and fit
every Rover V8 from then back. The cheaper Facets seem to work better than
the apparently better quality Intermotor.
Brands do make a difference, and most are 'sourced' then put in other
people's boxes, so what the box says isn't always what you are really looking
at.
