Bob,

What kind of pads are you running? I use the Hawk HPS compound and
haven't had a problem; of course the rears don't carry the loads that
the fronts do.
I am using the same pads on the front with the factory discs. Same wheel
and tire combo.

I haven't had them cut yet, but I suspect that the metallurgy is poor,
with
differing hardness in certain sections. One rotor grooved in like a bad
pad,
or something stuck in it but the other did the opposite, and took out
some
of the pad. These were on a street TR6 with 225-60-15 tires on 7"
wheels,
both a less than 2000 miles. I'm just a little suspect of the
coincidence.

Bob,

What do you mean by "rotors have a bad section"? I am running Brembo
discs on my rear disc conversion on the TR6 and I need to know of any
potential problems.
Thanks

FOT,
My disappointing performance in the All Triumph race at Mid Ohio has
been
traced to a faulty distributor cap, exacerbated by my stubbornness. Let
me
explain. I have purchased new caps in both the Lucas OEM box and in the
aftermarket box. It appears that they are the same cap, one just costs
more
for the name. The posts inside the cap are ground flat, and looking at
them,
some are ground almost through the post while the opposite side will
have
just a little ground off. All of the 5 or 6 caps I bought look the same.
This is a quality problem which I couldn't accept, so I used the best
old
used cap I had and it worked fine. My spare was another good used cap.
Sometime on Sunday the cap started to crack and I developed a misfire.
So be
it. The question is, are these new caps OK, and if not, where do we get
good
ones?

I also have had 2 NOS Brembro brake rotors that I bought on ebay crap
out.
Anyone had problems with these. The pads seem OK, with no foreign
particles,
but the rotors have a bad section.
