I just put in a much stiffer shifter hold-down spring. It both keeps the
gear lever firmly in the selector slots and makes getting into reverse a
very positive effort.

   We're currently assembling an overdrive 
gearbox for the Italia. I like to ask what 
clever ideas youse guys have come up with 
for a reverse lockout. We've come up with 
some ideas already, but I see no need to re-
invent the wheel...er, reverse lockout, if 
there's a good system out there. TIA
