Steve, I did not make it to Mid Ohio, so we have not met, but I have
not put any race reports out, since it has been a terrible season and
I have been busy fixing the car most of the time. In May, I
mis-shifted (3rd instead of 5th) at Pocono, revving the engine to 8900
rpm loosing the valve train. The next time out in July at Lime Rock,
the 1st place car was hit by a car we were lapping. He spun and hit
me (I guess he forgot "in a spin - both feet in") as he rolled (not
slid) back. He hit me in the rear axle and tore one of the 4 links
off of the frame. I was out, and he went onto win. 2 weeks later I
was back at Lime Rock and had the pole. On the first lap I lost the
oil pump. That motor is out and awaiting parts. I have my old
(spare) motor in, and I am ready to go to the SCCA double at Watkins
Glen this coming weekend (Sept 14-15th). Maybe I can finish a race.
