Rick, For what its worth....After shaking the original flywheel off my crank
I installed an aluminum flywheel and put 4 additonal bolts in the end of the
crank, using ARP bolts and lots of torque. No dowel pin. A local machine
shop drilled and threaded the crank. No problems since then.
