Gee, I just finished up an Ebay auction a few days ago myself, for that '71
TR6 I mentioned a while back. And as it turns out, that sale will most
likely fall through. Kielseratten (stefaan.ooms.ooms@dealer.renault.be)
was the high bidder, but apparently this person bids freely with no
intention of ever actually buying anything. Negotiations with Ebay continue.

A few days into the auction, the car's owner wanted me to add a 'Buy it Now'
price. I did, and the main picture that was on the page was replaced by a
gray line drawing of some generic sedan. After wading through many web
pages, I finally found a way to contact ebay about the problem. They wrote
back about a day later and basically said "Yep, that happens, too bad. If
you want a picture, end this auction and start a new one." Real useful.

About 18 months ago I sold another TR6, a 1974, through Ebay, and that worked
out quite well. So I guess sometimes the magic works, sometimes it doesn't.

On a side note, apparently a loose phone wire has been wreaking havoc with
my DSL connectivity the last few days. Access to the mailing lists, archives
and various Team.Net web and FTP services has been sporadic, but I think I
have it under control. After British Field Day this weekend, and I get the
roof finished, maybe I'll finally get around to doing some wiring work for
the servers.
