This is a survey. I'm looking for input.

This has to do with flywheel weight. The common Fidanza aluminum flywheel
weighs about seven pounds. The more exotic steel Cambridge style flywheel
also weighs seven pounds. Then we bolt on the ring gear. The ring gear
weighs three pounds, increasing the flywheel weight by almost half, and
that weight is at exactly the wrong place -- at the periphery.

I've had a prototype of a light ring gear produced for my TR4. I will be
using it on the last two races this year. I'm considering commissioning a
one-time run of these. They would cost $125 to $150.

If you would have an interest in this part (no commitment -- just a survey
of interest) please contact me off line so I can determine if there is
enough interest to undertake the project. Please respond even if you have a
glimmer of interest, to help me to judge the level of interest out there in
Triumph Land, and hence a run quantity.

Thanks

uncle jack
