There is good article in the October 21, 2004 edition of the "Machine
Design" magazine that explains how to identify a UN/UNF (SAE), NPT/NPTF
(American Pipe), BSPP (British Pipe, Parallel), BSPT (British Pipe,
Tapered) and Metric, both parallel and tapered fittings and their size.
Having just figured out what the heck a British grease fitting size was,
I can appreciate the article. It is available on their web site at
www.machinedesign.com. Thought it might be useful to some folks.
