The TR4 and 4A came from the factory with the rubber flex couplings on both
ends of the steering column. Some attempt at a collapsible system, I
suppose. The couplings had a grounding cable that attached through the
coupling to ground the horn.

My TR6 has a rubber flex coupling on the
top and a u-joint thingie on the bottom. I heard that it was the TR4 that
had u-joints at both ends stock !!
