Hi Terry,

The 4 speed TR7 box is identical in ratios to the GT6 therefore the teeth
counts are identical. However most TR7 boxes had thick tooth reverse gears,
and the last few had a sharper helix angle on second gear.

Hi Terry,

I have a list of ratios here:

TR7 4 speed from Jan 75:
1st: 2.658
2nd: 1.782
3rd: 1.256
Reverse: 3.98/3.05

GT6: (all)
1st: 2.648
2nd: 1.78
3rd: 1.257
4th O/D: 0.802
Reverse: 3.098

John is most probably correct, the figures on my list - drawn from a number
of sources may contain typographical errors accumulated over the years...

Regards

Lion
