FoT,
Bill Ames was at Road America when it started fifty years ago. He raced a TR3
at that time. If he had survived his cancer, it would have been appropriate
that he be with us last weekend for Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival.
However, Bill was with us in spirit, as his memorial plaque was passed one
more time from Don Brick (TR4) to Bob Wismer (TR4)
The plaque features a picture Bill's famous Peyote Special as now driven by
Bill Babcock.
Congratulations Bob!
(There are no rules regarding the passing of the memorial plaque ,of course.
The recipient can do as he wishes...) :-)
