By the way, I should have given a further explanation.
These are the hubs shown in the photograph in Kastner's book. 6061
aluminum, CNC machined,stud sizes your choice of length and diameter,
new Timken bearings (last almost forever), lip inner seal, new dust
cap. These hubs were specifically designed to eliminate weaknesses in
the hubs under racing conditions. They are not particularly lighter
than the stock hubs, but they are very strong, eliminating the
necked-down portion where front hubs break. The inner bearing is a
larger, heavier duty bearing. In four seasons of racing, the grease
in my inner bearings has not failed and not needed replacing, even
under racing conditions, something you can't say for the stock inner bearings.
