Hi everyone!

Only a few more days before Hallett! I have a suggestion for those who
may be traveling through Kansas City -- go through at lunchtime or
dinnertime and hit the Horizons Buffet at the Ameristar Casino!!! Brad
and I ate there a while back (we really don't gamble but we know casinos
have GOOD food) and I highly recommend it (I am a person who plans trips
around places to eat). They also have a cool Pullman-type train car in
the building, for those of you who like old trains.

Horizons has many different types of foods, from Farmer's Market to
Chinese to Mexican to Italian to........ My favorite was the five
"story" chocolate fountain on the dessert bar -- if you have not tried
them before I HIGHLY recommend the Rice Krispie treats dipped in the
chocolate. I am glad I didn't have that first -- I would have forgotten
there was any other food there, and Brad would have had to roll me out
the door! ;)

You get two dollars off of the buffet if you sign up for their casino ID
card at the front desk (you have to have one to play, apparently) and
present it to the buffet cashier. Here's the link for the buffet and
pricing:

Of course I have no connection to this place (apart from wanting to go
back NOW) -- I just wanted to share something we had really enjoyed with
ya'll.

Have a great trip!!!

Susan :)
