I've also got a question on gearboxes for Spitfires. So far I've been using
a stock wide ratio non-over drive box. However, since I come from a Formula
Ford background, I'd sure like to use all the gears. Anyone have experience
and recommendations on Spitfire conversion boxes that use Hewland gears?

So my question to FOT Spit racers is how many are running OD Gearboxes? In
the in-car video I heard shifts after the driver shifted into 4th with the
gear lever.
