How about the fact the Triumph used bonnet louvers stock on all TR2 
through 3Bs.  Each bonnet comes with a single row of louvers (2 or 4 
lovers) near the scuttle vent pointing at the windscreen.

I keep wondering why the Triumph engineers decided to add them there. 
And would it help under bonnet air flow if the louvers were a little larger.
